MPSTME wins the Newton Bhabha Fund for Higher Education Partnership to foster the Industry Academia linkage
The Newton Research Collaboration Programme is a component of the UK Newton fund which aims to develop science and innovation partnerships to promote the economic development and social welfare.
Under the Newton Fund, the Royal Academy has partnered with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) to enhance research and innovation capacity within Indian engineering universities through the Higher Education Partnership (HEP) programme. The programme is based upon the premise that increased linkages between industry and higher education can improve quality and foster innovation within the pedagogy and practice of engineering. This will then enhance the employability of graduates and encourage technology transfer into industry.
Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management and Engineering won this Newton Bhabha Fund amounting to £ 35000/-
