The students of Mechanical Engineering department from Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management and Engineering, Mumbai have fabricated an open wheeled formula style race car under the guidance of Prof. Ashish J. Deshmukh.
On the culmination of this project, the built race car was used to participate at Formula Bharat 2017 competition organised by Mobility Engineering Consortium Limited and held at Kari Motor Speedway, Chettipalayam, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. Engineering Colleges From all over India will be sending teams to compete against each other and will be judged by various criteria such as safety, good engineering practices, engineering design and cost. The competition was held from 25th January 2017 to 29th January 2017.
A team of 20 students from various branches of our college represented MPSTME Mumbai at Formula Bharat 2017. Our team stood 28th place in the design event, 28th place in the cost event and 27th place in the business event out of 60 participating teams. Overall our team was ranked 28th in the competition.
