The passion for building a car that strived the student from MPSTME, Mumbai campus to build one and take it to the new level. Little did they believe in themselves and their last year’s achievement, made them curious to take the legacy ahead.
Under the mentorship of Prof. Ashish J. Deshmukh (Dept. of Mechanical Engineering) along with Mast.Siddhesh Sangvekar (Captain) and Mast.Usama Shaikh (Vice-Captain) took upon leading the team into its third instalment.
The team started off with designing and manufacturing the car for Enduro Student India-2017, which was held from 5th January 2017 to 9th January 2017 at Geedee Off-road Track in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. Soon their hardships of day and night paid off, and finally, they emerged with a masterpiece. They called it as ‘Falcon’.
The team and their car did manage to get through the event successfully, starting off from clearing the said Technical Inspection with less tussle followed by Engine and Braking test which were their green flag for the final endurance race. The team also did manage to compete in all static as well as dynamic events this year. Also, they were one of the teams from 17 teams out of 90 others who cleared the toughest manoeuvrability track. The team did finish the final endurance race with 24th on the podium. The team finally stood on overall 27th position from more than 90 teams.
