Dr. Samadhan Deshmukh

Assistant Professor
Department of Mechanical Engineering

Dr. Samadhan Deshmukh is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering (MPSTME), SVKM’s NMIMS, Mumbai, with 17 years of teaching experience, including 12 years at MPSTME.

He holds a Ph.D. in Metal Matrix Composite Materials and has research expertise in Metal Matrix Composite Materials, Additive Manufacturing, and Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) methods. He has published more than 20 research papers, with his research receiving around 800 citations on Google Scholar and demonstrating strong citation growth since 2021.

Dr. Deshmukh has received the Best Research Paper Award at the International Conference on Advances in Mechanical Sciences (ICAMS-2023). He was also honoured with the Best Faculty Member Award by NMIMS in 2025 in recognition of his academic and professional contributions.

In addition to his teaching and research activities, he is actively involved in student mentoring and innovation initiatives. He serves as a Team Mentor for Team Lightning, the official Formula Student racing team of MPSTME, guiding students in the design, development, and engineering of high-performance racing vehicles.
