MASTER OF TECHNOLOGY IN CYBERSECURITY AND FORENSICS, M. TECH. (CS&F)

Introduction: Introduction: Cybersecurity is no more a buzz word. World leaders have repeatedly raised concerns related to cybersecurity. It has become one of the agenda items in the board room discussion. Organizations have realized the need to have good cyber security strategy backed by top management’s willingness to support the cyber security program. Organizations are investing to secure their assets.

According to NASSCOM- DSCI, Growing Cybersecurity Industry Roadmap for India report, the global cyber security market is expected to reach approximately $190 billion by 2025. The market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 8.2 per cent from 2015–2025. Cybersecurity Task force has charted out a vision 2025 to "Grow the Indian cyber security products and services industry to $35 billion, create one million cyber security jobs and 1,000 cyber security start-ups by 2025”.

However, there is an acute shortage of skilled cyber security professionals worldwide. As per the report from ISC2 work force study, global requirement for cybersecurity professional is around 3 million with around 2 million requirements in Asia- Pacific region. The Fifty-second Report (Fifteenth Lok Sabha) on ‘Cyber Crime, Cyber Security and Right to Privacy’ of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (Department of Electronics and Information Technology) has cited a total of only 65K available cyber security professionals. Last couple of years, cybersecurity jobs have grown three times faster than any other IT roles.
