Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)
PEO1 - The program will establish the graduates as creative, competent Chemical Engineering professionals with ability to harness emerging technologies in various facets like process, design and project management.
PEO 2 - The graduates will utilize the knowledge and best practices of Chemical Engineering to contribute effectively and responsibly in solving real world problems
PEO 3 - Our graduates are expected to work for implementation of new technologies for the benefit of mankind in general, economy, society & environment in particular
PEO 4 - The program will enhance a student’s career development path and give him opportunities in senior management roles in corporate world.
PEO 5 - Students can also choose to become entrepreneurs in their chosen field of technology and innovation.
PEO 6 - Students can work in the role of consultants to traditional business managers in the area of technology management
PROGRAM OUTCOMES (PO)
PO1 - Ability to apply the knowledge of mathematics, science & engineering fundamentals to solve problems of chemical engineering.
PO2 - Ability to identify, research literature, formulate, and analyze data for solving chemical engineering problems.
PO3 - An ability to design, develop and evaluate various chemical engineering product, processes, equipments and systems.
PO4 - Select, create and apply techniques/ tools and resources in computing challenges
PO5 - An understanding of professional, legal, safety, health and environment related issues and responsibilities.
PO6 - Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of chemical engineering.
PO7 - Ability to establish projects from concept to commissioning & work effectively in a multi-functional team environment
PO8 - Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments
PO9 - Capacity to handle complex engineering projects as competent & versatile techno-managers and communicate effectively with engineering community and society at large.
PO10 - Acts as a leader and role model for ethical, professional, and social behaviour and understands the societal implications of managerial and technical decisions
PO11 - Has ability to take risks, think out of the box and be entrepreneurial PO12 Ability to create new knowledge through Research & Design and become lifelong learner
