faculty & student activities

Right on from pursuing cutting edge research and contributing to the fraternity of technology management and engineering, to mentoring and grooming students by helping them bring out the best in themselves, faculties of the Mechanical Department of Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management and Engineering have a plethora of activities being carried out.

Mechanical faculties of MPSTME are regularly invited as experts for delivering talks in gatherings of high repute. MPSTME Mechanical faculties are also on the panels of many professional bodies as well as reputed universities and institutions.

MPSTME Mechanical students regularly participate in global-level technical competitions. The faculties see to it that the students are provided with an ambience wherein they can groom themselves and explore their abilities to innovate, design, build, develop and lead.

Eminent personalities and distinguished speakers from all over the globe frequent MPSTME to deliver talks on relevant topics. The mutual sharing of thoughts and experiences coupled with opportunities to build networks is a key takeaway for the students from such seminars/workshops.

Following are small glimpses of the kind of activities that are being carrying out in the Department in the last few academic years:



MoU Signing off ceremony with L&T April 2016: Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management Engineering, Mumbai and Larsen & Toubro (Corporate Technology & Engineering Academy- CTEA Madh) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) towards exposing the students to enhanced learning.


A delegation of eight students of MPSTME flew to Rome, Italy for the 25th edition of the conference held on 14-18th March 2016. Carrying forward the legacy of being the only university from India having consecutively won awards on this global platform, students of MPSTME proved their mettle once again.

Industrial Visits


Industrial Visits:

An Industrial Visit was organized at the following industries on 20th August 2016 for III year Mechanical students for B Tech and B .Tech Integrated programs:

The students got opportunity to see the working of foundry, Fabrication Unit and various Casting, Forging and Machining Processes along with Equipment’s used for the same. The visit helped them fill up the gap between theory and practice for Manufacturing Processes.

Industrial Visit-cum Training had organized at L & T Madh campus, Mumbai from 17th, for Mechanical + Civil for B.Tech. First year integrated program batch of 2016. Mr. Prakash Patil (Technical Advisor, Madh) has explained 16 module of safety for better understanding. Every student underwent practical training and demonstration of Fire-Emergency Safety. This training was useful to understand the importance safety in our day-to-day life. 

L & T Training Centre, Madh An Industrial Visit cum training was organized at L & T Training Centre, Madh from 12th October to 14th October 2016 for 2nd year Mechanical students of B. Tech. Intg, B. Tech. and MBA Tech. programs. The students got to learn various Metal Joining processes (welding, brazing and soldering). As part of the training program, students got hands on practice of various fabrication process i.e. Gas cutting, TIG welding, arc welding and finishing while they prepared a job of mild steel in a group under the supervision of L & T experts. 

SVKM’s NMIMS MPSTME Mumbai and L&T Madh campus have jointly designed a value added training program of 4-weeks duration (Anubhav) for the B.Tech 3rd Year students as an internship for B.Tech program, to be conducted at L&T Corporate Training Technical, Academy C-TEA Madh campus. The program included Industrial visits and Mini projects which has added value to enhance the career prospects of the participants.
