Integrated Environmental Monitoring and Predictive System for Ecosystem and Urban Sustainability

Topic Name:

Integrated Environmental Monitoring and Predictive System for Ecosystem and Urban Sustainability

Acronyms of topic name: IEMPS

Visual Abstract:

Objectives:

  1. Environmental Monitoring and Data Collection –
  • To develop an advanced, scalable network architecture of IoT-integrated sensors and autonomous drones capable of real-time acquisition and transmission of high-resolution air and water quality data across diverse environmental and urban landscapes.
  1. Predictive Analytics and Early Warning Systems -
  • Leverage advanced data analytics and artificial intelligence frameworks to process and model the collected data, enabling the prediction and proactive mitigation of potential environmental risks.
  1. Public Awareness and Urban Sustainability -
  • Create Policy for optimize resource distribution and planning based on predictive analytics for sustainable development. This will help the researchers, conservationists, and urban planners for dedicated environmental stewardship.

Issues Involved:

Current systems for monitoring air pollution and wastewater management are limited in scalability and real-time data processing, reducing their effectiveness in predicting and mitigating environmental risks. Existing early warning systems provide narrow assessments, failing to integrate multiple factors such as air and water quality. Additionally, the data collected is rarely translated into actionable policies or public awareness efforts for sustainable urban planning. Collaboration between scientists, data analysts, and urban planners is often weak, while privacy and ethical concerns around sensor deployment further hinder the adoption of integrated monitoring solutions.
