  • Dr. Ravi Terkar, an accomplished academician and leader in the field of Mechanical Engineering, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. With a distinguished career spanning over two decades, he has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence and innovation in academia and industry.
  • Notably, Dr. Ravi Terkar was honored with the ‘Best Faculty of the Year’ award by NMIMS University in 2013-14, a testament to his exceptional contributions to education and research. Serving as the Head of the Mechanical Department at MPSTME, NMIMS University, from 2017 to 2020, he played a pivotal role in elevating the department’s academic standards and fostering a culture of excellence. In the academic realm, he has been instrumental in curriculum development, ensuring that students receive a cutting-edge education that is aligned with industry trends and demands. Furthermore, Dr. Ravi Terkar has actively contributed to the accreditation process, notably leading the ‘ABET Accreditation’ efforts as the Head of Department in AY-2020. His dedication to maintaining rigorous academic standards has been instrumental in securing accreditation and enhancing the reputation of the institution.
  • Beyond academia, Dr. Ravi Terkar has made significant contributions to industry-academia collaboration and professional development. As a former Training & Placement Officer, he conducted over 611 recruitment programs and 110 joint recruitment programs with leading industry players such as Infosys, TCS, Microsoft, and L&T, among others. His efforts have helped countless students launch successful careers in the corporate world.
  • Dr. Ravi Terkar impact extends beyond the confines of the university, with notable achievements in research and publication. His Ph.D. dissertation on ‘Exploring Product Cannibalization and Benefits of Remanufacturing’ has garnered recognition and was recommended to the Government of India for the development of the remanufacturing sector in the country. Additionally, he has published 60 articles in prestigious journals and conferences, further cementing his reputation as a thought leader in his field. Furthermore, he is actively involved in mentoring and guiding research scholars, with five students under his supervision. Two research scholars have successfully completed their Ph.D. under his expert supervision.
  • In addition to his academic and research pursuits, Dr. Ravi Terkar is sought after as a speaker and expert in his field. He has delivered sessions on ‘Project Management and Scheduling’ for organizations such as L&T and Everest Industries Ltd., imparting invaluable knowledge and expertise to industry professionals.
  • Dr. Ravi Terkar is also a respected figure on the international stage, having been nominated as a ‘Committee Member’ at various prestigious conferences held in France, Korea, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Italy, Korea, Georgia, and elsewhere. His global perspective and insights contribute to the advancement of knowledge and collaboration on a global scale.
