12^th class or equivalent from a recognized board with not less than 45% in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics / vocational subject. Candidates passing out in 2024 can apply.

Prominent Recruiters: Every year, employers visit the campus to interview graduating students through an active recruitment process managed by the Placement Cell. Most students secure job offers before graduation, highlighting them as “industry-ready”.

Prominent Alumni: The alumni are loyal members of the extended family of NMIMS. They maintain a strong connection with the institution and provide valuable feedback on the programme’s strengths and areas for improvement. Student Outcomes (SOs)

Graduates of the B Tech in Mechanical Engineering programme will have the ability to:

Identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.
Apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.
Communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
Recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts.
Function effectively in a team, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives.
Develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.
Acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.

Unique Features of the Programme

AICTE approved

The four-year B Tech programme covers fundamental aspects of Mechanical Engineering through classroom learning, lab sessions, and elective courses.
The main goal is to prepare students for industry opportunities that need a strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering.

Project-based learning is used to improve education and make students more employable in modern manufacturing industries.
Industry visits and projects are part of the curriculum to strengthen the connection between the institute and the industry.
