MPSTME Pegasus Shines in AIAA Design/Build/Fly Competition 2024-25
We are proud to announce the outstanding achievement of the MPSTME Pegasus Team in the prestigious Design/Build/Fly Competition (AIAA), organized by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. This event offers a global platform for aerodynamic enthusiasts to demonstrate their expertise in Aerodynamics, Aircraft Design, and Engineering.
The team, under the guidance of Ms. Zoya Rizvi (Assistant Professor) from the Mechanical Engineering Department, submitted their proposal report for the first round on 31st October 2024 through online submission. The results, declared on 22nd November 2024, placed the MPSTME Pegasus Team at an impressive 27th rank globally and 3rd rank in Asia out of 159 participating universities.
Scoring an exceptional 78/100, the team outperformed several prestigious institutions, including MIT (US), Purdue University, Virginia Tech, and Indian universities such as BITS Goa Campus and VJTI.
The team members—Zarvan Movdawalla, Samruddhi Sangle, Saisha Mastakar, and Arian Gidwani—all from B.Tech Mechanical Engineering (4th Year, 2024-25), will now progress to the next phase in February 2025. This stage involves final proposal submissions, followed by the Fly-Off event in Tucson, Arizona, in April 2025.
This achievement is a testament to the team’s hard work, innovation, and application of theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges. Congratulations to the MPSTME Pegasus Team and their mentor for this remarkable success!
