NMIMS' Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management and Engineering is all about fun embellished with learning experience when it comes to organizing a successful college festival. Sattva, the college's cultural festival is an extravaganza; it is an art in its purest form and passion in its rarest breed. Sattva is a platform for dreamers and believers; for those whose create magic with their soul. Team Sattva worked towards achieving the pinnacle of quality, and bringing out the finest in everyone by presenting a mixture of competitions from various fields of Arts. Be it Music, Theatre, Dance, Sports, Social Work or any other artistic spectacular.
This year's theme Ad Astra, which translated to "one's journey to the stars" speaks of nothing less than an individual yearn and desire to excel, and reach towards their ambition and objective in life. It's an inspirational notion that speaks about overcoming all the hardships, failures and perils to achieve what one truly deserves. "Ad Astra" for us was a constant reminder that no matter what dispute we're faced with in our journey, there's always a way out of it.
Our 3 day fest includes a pro-night, one DJ night and many events like box cricket, rink football and obstacle cycling, Mr and Ms. Sattva, Standup comedy and beatboxing, Jugaad, Fire and Ice, Adomania and Paper earing making workshop, War of Bands, Solo Singing, Hogathon, Lip Sync battle, Corporate Roadies, MMA and tumbling balls. This year we had Shri Kailash Kher along with his band Kailasa. The last day pronight had in store for us an opening act from DJ Madok and main performances from DJ Nina and Malika. The glow party remains to be memorable as the masses seemed to enjoy themselves, having lost themselves in the trance of the night. A special movie promotion of Sonu ke Titu ke Sweety was also witnessed where the 3 lead actors Nushrat Bharucha, Kartik Aaryan and Sunny Singh Nijjar interacted with the crowd, leaving many star struck.
