MBA TECH. ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATION

The MBA Tech. program is a integrated program in which the students get both the B. Tech. degree and the MBA degree in Technology Management in 5 years.

MPSTME, NMIMS has always been in the forefront in offering courses which are of international standards and giving opportunity to students to be industry ready. Over the years, through strong industry linkages, NMIMS has identified a need for techno managers.

With increasing use of technology in every field, organizations are looking for human resources which not only understand business practices and appreciate technology in their domain, but also understand its impact on technological decisions & vice versa. Industry also seeks people who can multitask and have ability of delivering results quickly.

Unique features of the program:

Technical Industrial training of 8 weeks and Management Industrial Training of 20 weeks ensure effective learning utilization.
The periodical review and revision of syllabus and its implementation will be based on feedback from students, faculty and industry to ensure the relevance of program to the industry needs.
Techno Managers are at the interface of Technology and Management. Hence they comprehend and implement newer Technologist effectively.

Faculty are the owners of the program curriculum and are the guardians of the quality of dispensed knowledge. Their overall input and governance define the educational objectives of the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering program.

Employers come to the campus every year to interview students who are graduating. The Placement Cell has an active recruitment process for graduates. Most students seeking employment would have accepted positions by the time they graduate. The employers tend to view graduates as "industry ready” and have an inherent interest in their quality as well as the quality of students progressing through the program.

The alumni are loyal members of the extended family of NMIMS. While they maintain a fond connection with the institution and its people, they also have the needed separation to evaluate the program objectively. NMIMS alumni interact with the program coordinators, DAB, BOS members as well as faculty members and provide advice about changes to be made to improve the program.

Curriculum: (Curriculum for 2020-21 batch)

Curriculum for the program encompasses an effective proportion with respect to basic science, core, management and elective subjects. Every course has assigned lectures, laboratory sessions and tutorials as per requirement. Students also undergo compulsory technical project work in the 4th year, which at times, leads them to venture out and experience the entrepreneurial spirit. The program course content is reviewed every year with industry inputs and participation.
